Staying safe: licences and scams
- Look the firm up in the public registers of the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) and read its warnings about unlicensed operators.
- Type the address yourself; copycat sites use near-identical names.
- Binary options have been banned in Israel since 2018, so treat any such offer as a red flag.
- Walk away from guaranteed returns, deadlines, a stranger who contacts you first on a messenger, requests to pay in crypto, and withdrawal problems.
If you already sent money, tell your bank and the police at once, keep every message and never pay extra to “recover” funds.
